When we took the first picture in Fall 2019, we never anticipated the rest of our grad school career would mostly look like the second picture. Grad school during a pandemic wasn’t what we signed up for. And yet - from the start, we’ve had a pretty strong and supportive community. Sure, we’ve debated each other in class and had moments of tension with one another, but at the end of the day, we’re always there for each other. There’s no other 11 people I’d rather have in my cohort. There’s no other 11 people I’d rather do pandemic grad school with. And there’s no other 11 people I’d rather graduate with in one month from today.

Grad school doesn’t leave a lot of time for reflection, but lately God’s been teaching me something in my spiritual walk and put it on my heart to share. Today’s blog post attempts to do just that: share what the Lord is teaching me about hope and identity in Christ. Link in bio, if you’d like to read.

Happy last day of Women’s History Month!! As a part of my job with @baylorma1845 I got to lead out on our Women’s History Month programming all of March. It was such a fun and rewarding experience. In the aftermath of a crazy, uncertain year and as I prepare to face another life transition, these days I often find myself signing Bethel Music’s Goodness of God. In particular, these lyrics resonate with me:

A long-overdue writing update is now live on my blog! Though I haven’t had much time for writing in grad school, I am slowly but surely making progress on some new books. It may be many years before I’m published again, but I definitely intend to keep writing, keep editing, and keep telling stories, even as I step into a professional career post-grad school.
